Dunfermline III 1
Eskvale II 1
Eskvale 2nds met Dunfermline 3 at Rosyth on Saturday and proved to be the stronger team in the first half only being denied the lead by an excellent performance from the Dunfermline keeper.

Eskvale had to re-group when their sweeper had to leave t
he field through injury and Dunfermline took advantage scoring a scrappy goal minutes later.

The visiting younsters settled and put the Dunfermline defence under pressure several times with player of the match Lindsay Whitley and Shona Gladstone working well together up front.

The second half was strongly contested and Eskvale eventually broke through the Dunfermline defence with a great goal from Lindsay Whitley skifully beating the goalie.

Meanwhile, the Eskvale men welcomed an East Lothian squad to the Dalkeith Schools Campus on Sunday. Eskvale were able to field a strong squad despite missing youngster Aedan McCrossan, who was on duty at Peffermill playing for East District U-16 squad against West District.

Both teams had their fair share of chances in the first half but neither managed to get the ball in the back of the net with Eskvale keeper Jack Feeley making a string of good saves to keep the East Lothian team out.

The second half was more of the same with both defences having to work hard.

However, the superior passing of the Eskvale forwards paid dividends and Stephen Pride scored a great goal, picking up a pass from Garry Jones, to pop the ball past the goalie.

Eskvale managed to get the ball in the back of the East Lothian net again before the end of the match when it came off a defender's stick but as the ball had not been touch by an Eskvale player in the circle it was disallowed.
